The Perfect (Totally Unbiased) Office Coffee Setup
Bonavita BV1900TS 8-Cup One-Touch Coffee Maker
It brews a great cup of joe, but it’s also incredibly easy to use. It features a single button (as the name implies) and does the rest for you. Consider it like your mom’s Mr.Coffee machine on steroids — it mimics a pour-over brewing method with its pre-infusion mode and keeps the coffee at an ideal 198°-205°F. It’s also incredibly well-made: we’ve used it daily for 2 years without issue.
Baratza Encore Conical Burr Coffee Grinder
The right grinder can make or break your coffee quality, but finding a high-quality, low-cost burr grinder can be a difficult task. Enter the Baratza Encore — a quiet workhorse with a small footprint that’s perfect for daily use.
Our only tip? Keep a handheld cordless vacuum nearby — the one downfall of this grinder is that it’s messy, and coffee grounds can be difficult to clean up.
Quality Coffee Beans
At the end of the day, you can have the best equipment in the world, but if your beans aren’t up to snuff, you’re not going to get the perfect cup of coffee that you so desperately need.
We’re lucky enough to work down the street from several local coffee shops & roasters, so we try to source our coffee from them as often as possible. If you’re not as fortunate in the neighbor department as us, I can personally vouch for Trade Coffee as a great online marketplace for quality beans from roasters across the country.
And that’s it! It may seem straightforward, but this trifecta has changed the way we consume coffee in the office. They say it’s not the tools, it’s the craftsman, but in this case, the tools ensure we don’t have to be craftsman at all. Our morning coffee brings us together and has become a huge part of our daily routine and overall culture.
